Crime 5 wounded in South Carolina shooting, cops say

A shooting in South Carolina on Saturday night left five people wounded, authorities said.

The Horry County Police Department tweeted at 6:35 p.m. that it was responding to an active shooting incident in Conway, S.C.

Around 8 p.m., cops said the incident remained active, but there did not appear to be any continued threat to the community.

Two people wounded in connection with the incident were transported by Horry County Fire Rescue, and one other was transported with a separate medical issue, the police said.

Conway is a small city located about 15 miles from Myrtle Beach and the Atlantic shore.
