Sonny Hazel, 25, of Southminster — about 50 miles northeast of London — was found guilty of manslaughter in the June 2019 death of Daryl Bunn, BBC News reported Wednesday.
Bunn, 27, died at the hospital late last June after he was punched once outside an Iceland supermarket in nearby Maldon, Essex, fell back and his head hit the ground.

On their way home, the two “became involved in an altercation with a group of people,” according to authorities.
Bunn, who was airlifted to a hospital, died from a traumatic brain injury. His friend sustained a broken jaw, for which Hazell and 24-year-old 24 were cleared.
Morton also noted that, as evidenced in the trial, Bunn “did nothing to instigate or provoke the incident that led to him losing his life.”
Hazell is slated to be sentenced early next month.
