Sheryl Crow Recounts 'Long Bout of Sexual Harassment' from Michael Jackson's Manager

Sheryl Crow Recounts 'Long Bout of Sexual Harassment' from Michael Jackson's Manager Nine-time Grammy Award winner Sheryl Crow said she got a "crash course in the music industry" after experiencing sexual harassment from Michael Jackson's manager Frank DiLeoThe nine-time Grammy Award winner, 59, recalled getting her big break in 1987 when she auditioned for Jackson's first solo world tour during an interview with The Independent.

Spokesperson Lori Poag told The McClatchy News the bullet caused some bleeding after it "grazed the outermost layer of his scalp."

The impact of the bullet was so minor, the man actually thought that what he felt was a bug biting him. It was only when officers arrived at the scene and found a bullet on the ground that he realized what had hit him.

"Preliminary investigations by the Sheriff's Office have determined the victim was not targeted and it appears the shooting was accidental at this time (possibly from a bullet fired into the air from some distance away), but the investigation continues," the sheriff's office said in a statement.

Poag said officers believe the bullet came from a gun that could have been fired up to a mile away.

Dodgers place Max Muncy on 10-day injured list with right oblique strain

Dodgers place Max Muncy on 10-day injured list with right oblique strain Unfortunately for the Dodgers, they’ll now be without this productive bat for at least the next 10 days, and potentially quite a few more if Muncy has suffered anything beyond a minimal strain. Muncy has also been bothered by a sore ankle in recent days, so it’s possible that even if his oblique problem is a minor one, the Dodgers might give Muncy beyond the 10-day minimum just to get him fully healed and ready to go. Muncy was scheduled to undergo more tests on his oblique Saturday, but the Dodgers have yet to release any update on the severity of the injury or  any sort of expected recovery timeline.

"No one that was out on the patio eating with him remembered hearing a sound of a gun being shot," she told The McClatchy News.

Deputies patrolled the area after responding to the man and could not find anyone firing a gun, nor could they hear any more gunshots.

Anyone with information concerning this incident is encouraged to contact the Sheriff's District 3 Office at 336-641-6691.

The Guilford County Sheriff's Office has been contacted for an update.

'Keep dancing Orlando': Five years later, Pulse nightclub shooting survivors seek to embody strength of LGBTQ community The early-morning attack at a gay nightclub in Florida on June 12, 2016, left the LGBTQ community grieving and on edge during Pride celebrations. It was the nation's deadliest mass shooting, a uniquely shocking and undesirable mantle that Orlando held for only one year before an attack left 60 dead during a country music festival in Las Vegas. In a country plagued by gun violence and an almost steady stream of mass shootings, the death toll in Orlando was shocking and thrust the city at the epicenter of conversations about gun control reforms and terrorism.

The Kingsburg Police Department said it appears multiple random shots were fired into the air and one of the descending projectiles struck the girl as she was playing in the park.

"With the Independence Day holiday approaching, this is a good reminder of how dangerous and unlawful it is to randomly shoot a firearm into the air. Remember, what goes up, must come down," Kingsburg Police said in a statement.

"The public is encouraged to contact law enforcement whenever they hear gunshots."

Is the NL Central still bad enough for the Cincinnati Reds to win it? .
Taking stock as the calendar turns to June. With the MLB playoff format in 2021 reduced back to just 10 total teams, that means the trio of division winners in the NL and just a pair of wild card clubs will get postseason action this year. Right now, all signs point to the NL West providing both wild card clubs, barring a significant change of course, putting the onus on winning the division outright for all clubs in the NL East and NL Central.
