Gabby Petito remains missing as authorities search vast wildlife reserve for fiancé
The family of Brian Laundrie, Petito's 23-year-old fiancé, told officers Friday that they haven’t seen him since Tuesday.Police named Laundrie a person of interest in Petito's disappearance, but he has refused to speak with police. No charges have been filed, and the case continues to be a missing persons case, police said.
The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office in Florida said on Wednesday that they have deployed dive team members as they continue to search for Brian Laundrie, the fiancé of Gabby Petito, at the Carlton Reserve.
"We continue to respond to requests for mutual aid from neighboring law enforcement agencies & federal partners. To confirm, yes, members of our Sheriff's Underwater Recovery Force have responded to Carlton Reserve. This in addition to our Emergency Response Team, Air-1 & patrol," the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office wrote in a tweet.

In a video posted toby Kim Kuizon of WTVT in Florida, police can be seen towing in a boat that will be used by the sheriff's Underwater Recovery Force.
The announcement by the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office comes as authorities continue to search for Laundrie, who was reported missing by his parents last week. Laundrie's family told authorities that they believed he was at the Carlton Reserve.
