The car wasn’t the only thing stolen.

An armed man who carjacked an unsuspecting woman earlier this week in Indianapolis might not be on the run for long, having inadvertently taken a selfie of himself on the victim’s phone — which police later recovered, Fox 59 reported Wednesday.

“I looked and was like, ‘Oh, my God.’ That’s the person ... that literally robbed me today and took my car,” Megan Whisler, who survived the ordeal Monday morning, told the outlet.

Whisler was sitting in her 2005 Ford Five Hundred parked outside an assisted living center where her mom was visiting with a relative late Monday morning when a man approached her window with a gun, according to the outlet.

They have emerged as the frontrunner and are ahead of the Toronto Raptors 92-83.

The stunned Whisler was asked to “scoot over” but, not wanting to risk being taken anywhere, she said she just left the car and gave the man the keys.

“[I] don’t know if he was up to something more sinister or if he just wanted me to not make a scene and not scream,” she recalled to Fox 59. “But I didn’t want to go anywhere with him.”

With her keys, the man grabbed Whisler’s phone and took off in the vehicle.

Police later found the phone in a nearby neighborhood, where the suspect had tossed it, according to the outlet.

Following the carjacking, Whisler pinged her phone, which she believes made a noise and must have startled the thief who grabbed the mobile and inadvertently took the selfie. Now she just hopes police will find the man before someone else is carjacked or hurt.

“I made it away with my life and everything that he took is replaceable,” said Whisler. “Who’s to say the next time he does this it’s not the same outcome?”

Indiana Gov. Stops Short of Supporting Unconditional Exemptions for COVID Shot Mandates .
"I want to hear where they're coming from, what their thoughts are," Eric Holcomb said. "We need to talk about the whole bill in detail, as well."The proposal, rejected on Monday by Governor Eric Holcomb, was created by Republican legislative leaders and sought to end previous COVID-19 orders, including a state of emergency that has been in place since March of 2020. The bill would require private businesses to offer and accept vaccine mandate exemption requests. According to WFYI, the proposal would have also banned companies from firing employees who refuse to receive the vaccine.
