Multiple injuries reported after Michigan high school shooting; suspect in custody
Multiple injuries were reported after a shooting at a high school in Oxford Township, Michigan. A suspect was taken into custody.The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said they received reports of an active shooter around 1 p.m. local time at Oxford High School in Oxford Township, a suburb about 40 miles north of Detroit.
Oxford High School in Oxford, Michigan has been placed on lockdown due to an emergency situation at the school.
An alert was sent to parents noting an "active emergency" reported at the school, WJBK reported.
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is on the scene.

Oakland County Undersheriff Michael McCabe confirms that police responded to an active shooter at Oxford High School.
"We have one suspected shooter is in custody along with a handgun," McCabe said in an email. "We do not believe there are any other at this time."
He said there are "multiple victims," between four and six, but no confirmed fatalities at this time.
