Mike Tyson Returning To AEW

Mike Tyson Returning To AEW Mike Tyson will be returning to AEW programming next week as a guest announcer for the live episode of AEW Rampage. The announcement came during this week's live "AEW Rampage" in Uncasville, CT.

2022 has been a turbulent year for pro wrestling. A lot of good and bad stuff has happened, especially in WWE and AEW. Like the previous years, many wrestlers jumped ship from other promotions. Some stars also finally received the acclaim they deserve from fans, although there are wrestlers that are going nowhere with their current gimmick as well.

And while there are still many who haven't gotten a ray of the spotlight on them yet, they are reaching that level. A new year will bring new opportunities for everyone, but it'll likely be beneficial for these AEW wrestlers the most.

Ex-WWE champion takes responsibility for inspiring the start of AEW

Ex-WWE champion takes responsibility for inspiring the start of AEW There are a lot of people responsible for the start of AEW. There’s WWE for releasing Cody Rhodes, NJPW and the Bullet Club for allowing him to work with Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks, Ring of Honor for helping to fund All Out, and most obviously of all, Tony Khan, who is the head […] The post Ex-WWE champion takes responsibility for inspiring the start of AEW appeared first on ClutchPoints.

Toni Storm

Toni Storm left WWE last December due to burnout issues and joined All Elite Wrestling in March 2022. Storm recently became the Interim Women's Champion following Thunder Rosa's injury news. Rosa is expected to return by the end of this year.

She and Storm will have a match to decide the undisputed Women's Champion. Toni has already become one of the top women on the roster, and it wouldn't be surprising to see her defeat Rosa. Regardless of how their match ends, Storm has become a huge asset for AEW and they would not want her momentum to cool down.

Ricky Starks

Ricky Starks has often been compared to The Rock. He's full of charisma, cuts unreal promos, and is also interesting to watch in the ring. AEW has been building him for months and months, and it's only a matter of time before he finally breaks out as a singles wrestler.

He's the future of AEW and is highly likely to become their World Champion someday. Things are already looking good for him in 2022, and next year will be even better.

Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho was AEW's biggest signing when it was established. He was their inaugural World Champion and his star power gave credibility to the title. Jericho has always been booked as an important wrestler in AEW.

He recently won the ROH World Championship, which is probably a sign that ROH is getting a television deal soon. Even if Jericho wrestles full-time for ROH, he'll likely still make AEW appearances and be a part of major storylines.

MJF

MJF is the most well-known wrestler out of the "four pillars" of AEW. He's also AEW's best promo right now. The Salt of the Earth has already gotten victories over wrestlers like Cody, CM Punk, and Chris Jericho.

Work Reportedly Underway On New AEW Project

Work Reportedly Underway On New AEW Project Work is reportedly underway on a new project revolving around AEW's roster and what happens backstage at shows that fans can expect to see next year.It was reported just two weeks ago that filming was likely to begin at these tapings. The filming will reportedly continue over the next six weeks, with the show likely to air in 2023 according to those close to the situation.

At All Out, MJF won the Casino Ladder Match to secure a World Title match. Most people expect him to win the AEW Championship soon. Moxley is currently in his third reign, and will most likely headline Full Gear against MJF, with the latter winning the belt.

Jade Cargill

Jade Cargill is the most protected female wrestler in all of AEW. She's the reigning TBS Champion, but still has a lot to accomplish in AEW. Many fans feel she was pushed too soon, and that she needed more time to improve her craft in the ring.

Cargill is undefeated in singles matches and the first superstar to beat her would become a top name instantly. AEW could have her drop the TBS Title next year, and go for the AEW Women's Championship.

Jamie Hayter

Fans have been asking for a Jamie Hayter push for months now. AEW has teased a split-up between Britt Baker and Heytar multiple times, but they haven't pulled the trigger yet. The seeds for this rivalry have already been planted, and it's only a matter of time before they grow. A babyface Jamie could take the women's division by storm. The fans already love her, and she's ready to break out as a singles star.

Saraya Confirms She Is Cleared To Wrestle, Challenges Britt Baker To Full Gear Match

Saraya Confirms She Is Cleared To Wrestle, Challenges Britt Baker To Full Gear Match Saraya will lace up her boots for the first time in five years when she goes one-on-one with Britt Baker at AEW Ful Gear. The segment began with Saraya saying she had some "bad news" but the bad news was for Britt Baker because doctors had recently given Saraya the go-ahead to wrestle again and that Baker would now have to face her at Full Gear. Baker attempted to get in the head of Saraya and ruin her moment by bragging about building the AEW women's division from the ground up ... but the impassioned Saraya was having none of it. The British veteran touted her accomplishments and hyped up her comeback story, which is just getting started.

Jon Moxley

Jon Moxley became the first wrestler to lift the AEW Championship three times. He's been a key part of AEW ever since debuting at Double or Nothing 2019. Moxley carried AEW on his back throughout the pandemic era and deserves every bit of accomplishment in the ring. Next year will likely not be any different for him. He's a main eventer today, and his stocks won't go down anytime soon.

Wardlow

At Double or Nothing 2022, Wardlow ended his long-term program with MJF and became one of the top babyfaces in the company. Following this storyline, Wardlow defeated Scorpian Sky to become the new TNT Champion. But ever since winning the title, AEW hasn't used him much.

He's squashing wrestlers on television and not doing anything meaningful. Wardlow has to face stronger opponents too for people to care about his matches. Hopefully, next year will be different booking-wise for him.

Swerve Strickland

Tony Khan has always talked highly of Swerve Strickland. He's very charismatic, and while he isn't that good in regard to promos, Strickland makes up for it by doing everything else well. He deserves to be part of the AEW upper echelon, and it's likely that his breakout feud will happen next year, as the main event scene is pretty crowded right now.

Kris Statlander

Kris Statlander has been out with a knee injury since August 2022. Recently, on Busted Open Radio, Tony Khan said that he "has big plans for Kris Statlander". She's expected to return in early 2023.

If Khan plays his cards right, Statlander could become one of the top female stars in the company. She had a gimmick change this year and seemed ready for a title push before her unfortunate injury. Many fans even think she should be the one to end Jade Cargill's TBS Title reign. This would be a surefire way to boost her stock right upon her return.

Preston Vance drives yet another nail into Dark Order coffin in AEW .
For the longest time, Evil Uno of the Dark Order‘s motto has been some version of “everything is fine,” but at this stage in the game, one had to ask: is it, though?
