Entertainment Christian Bale still hasn't seen Ben Affleck's Batman performance
DC Shake Up in the Works After ‘Justice League’ Stumbles (EXCLUSIVE)
Warner Bros. is planning a shakeup and restructuring of its DC films operation following the box office disappointment of “Justice League,” Variety has learned. Jon Berg will be leaving his current job running the comic book’s film production division, according to several sources with knowledge of the studio’s plans. A search is underway for his replacement, these people say. Berg will instead become a production partner with Roy Lee, the producer of “The Lego Movie” and “It,” who has a deal on the lot.“This is something that Jon approached me about six months ago, and he expressed his goal was to ultimately be a producer at the studio,” Warner Bros.
, the Dark Knight of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, still hasn’t seen ‘s performance as the Caped Crusader. He mentioned that , but he seems in no rush to make it happen.
“I have not [seen Ben Affleck’s Batman],” theactor said during an interview on with MTV’s Josh Horowitz. “Yes, I’m interested [in seeing it], my son seemed like he was really interested, but then I realized he just wanted to see the trailer and that was it. And, you know, I tend to go see films that [my kids] want to see.”
Madrid rallies to beat Al Jazira, reach Club World Cup final
Gareth Bale scored an 81st-minute winner as Real Madrid came from behind to beat Emirates club Al Jazira 2-1 on Wednesday and reach the Club World Cup final. Madrid will try to win its third world title in four seasons when its faces South American champion Gremio on Saturday. The match had two goals disallowed by video review, one for each team. There was confusion when Madrid's first-half goal was ruled out by a decision that took nearly three minutes after the Video Assistant Referee became involved.
Even though Bale starred in some of the most lauded superhero films of all time, he confessed he’s not a big superhero movie fan. “People seem surprised at that, I don’t know why, but I’ve not seen any of the Avengers films or any of those films at all,” he said. “I hear they’re very good, but I’m quite happy just hearing they’re very good.”
A meeting of the Bats, however, did indeed happen.
As Affleck recollected, he met with Bale while buying Halloween costumes for their children when he received this valuable piece of advice: “Look, mate, just make sure you’ve got a zipper in that suit. I couldn’t p*ss for three movies.”
Affleck appeared as the Dark Knight of the DC Extended Universe first in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, then as a surprise cameo in Suicide Squad, and again in Justice League.
