There’s big news — and then there’s zany-to-the-max news.

Hulu on Thursday confirmed that a “brand-new version” of the classic animated series Animaniacs has received a two-season, straight-to-series order. New episodes will begin rolling out sometime in 2020. Here’s the new series’ official description:

The Warner brothers, Yakko and Wakko, and the Warner sister, Dot — three inseparable, irascible siblings — have a great time wreaking havoc and mayhem in the lives of everyone they meet. They have been locked away in the Warner Bros. water tower for a very long time, but they have found a way to escape. And escape they do — every day! Causing chaos and comic confusion, Yakko, Wakko and Dot run loose in the city, turning the world into their personal playground. And fan-favorite characters Pinky and the Brain will also return to make appearances in each episode.

How the Roseanne set was painstakingly recreated

How the Roseanne set was painstakingly recreated To read more about Roseanne, pick up the new issue of Entertainment Weekly on stands now, or buy it here. Don’t forget to subscribe for more exclusive interviews and photos, only in EW. It was as important to the reunion as getting back all the original actors. When executive producers Tom Werner, Sara Gilbert, and Whitney Cummings began working on the revival of Roseanne, recreating the set on Soundstage 15 in Studio City, Calif., took on a life of its own. Every last item in the Conner household was painstakingly mulled over, right down to the pickled eggs in the kitchen pantry and pictures that hang in the hallway. “That became the challenge, recreating something when there was nothing in existence,” production designer John Shaffner tells EW. “They don’t print those (kitchen) wallpapers anymore. We had a devil of a time finding a sofa.” Here, Schaffner breaks down the process of recreating the fictitious, Landlord, Ill., home of Roseanne and Dan Conner which had the cast believing you can go home again. “It was like the last 20 years didn’t happen,” John Goodman tells EW. Most viewers probably don’t remember the color of the living room walls, but Gilbert did, and she and Shaffner had a helluva time recreating it. “It had been painted a soft, pale lettuce green,” he explains. “Sara had the best color memory. Trying to find the color was really tricky. The first time, there was a little too much blue in it. It was minty. That’s not right. I have to hand it to production.

The revival was picked up straight to series for Hulu . The deal also includes an agreement for Hulu to exclusively stream the entire Animaniacs back catalog, as well as the various spin-off series Pinky and the Brain; Pinky, Elmyra and the Brain; and the related Tiny Toon Adventures series.

The revival joins a Hulu kids-focused library that also includes Teen Titans Go, Curious George, The Powerpuff Girls, Doozers, Adventure Time, Doc McStuffins, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and more. "I am so pleased and proud that Animaniacs will have a home at Hulu ,” said Spielberg.

Animaniacs originally aired from 1993 to 1998, premiering on the late Fox Kids before relocating to the also-late Kids’ WB.

Steven Spielberg will return to executive-produce, along with Sam Register, President of Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Digital Series, and Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank, Co-Presidents of Amblin Television.

But wait… there’s so much more. Hulu also announced that every episode of the original Animaniacs — plus its spinoff Pinky and the Brain, as well as its spinoff Pinky, Elmyra and the Brain — and Tiny Toon Adventures will be available to stream beginning today.

The Handmaid's Tale: Here's the first trailer for season 2 (and a premiere date!) .
We are ready to go back to the future: The second season of The Handmaid’s Tale — which has scooped up just about every major award for its haunting and harrowing adaptation of the classic Margaret Atwood novel — will premiere April 25. And you can get a first look at what’s in store for us above. (Who knew a Buffalo Springfield cover could be so dang creepy?) Ahead of Sunday’s Television Critics Association panel, it was revealed that the 13-episode season will be focused and shaped by the pregnancy of Offred (Elisabeth Moss) and her struggle to find her daughter inside the nightmare that is Gilead. Returning players in addition to Moss include Joseph Fiennes, Yvonne, Strahovski, Samira Wiley, Alexis Bledel, Ann Dowd, and Max Minghella. Season 2 will kick off with two new episodes on the 25th and then will follow with new ones every Wednesday on Hulu. When EW spoke to executive producer and writer Bruce Miller earlier this month, he had one suggestion for how to prepare for viewings: “a bottle of scotch.
