Former "Silicon Valley" star T . J . Miller was arrested Monday night at New York's LaGuardia Airport after allegedly calling in a false bomb threat aboard a train. The actor and comedian appeared in court in New Haven on Tuesday and was released on a 0,000 bond.

The former Silicon Valley star was arrested for allegedly "intentionally conveying to law enforcement false information about an explosive device on a train traveling to Connecticut," according to authorities. 

Miller allegedly made the bomb threat on March 18. 

Miller appeared Tuesday before U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer in New Haven and was released on a $100,000 bond, according to authorities. The charge carries a maximum term of imprisonment of five years.

The case is being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Joint Terrorism Task Force, Connecticut State Police, Metropolitan Transportation Authority Police Department, Amtrak Police Department and Westport Police Department.

A request for comment from Miller's rep was not immediately returned.

Authorities on Tuesday continued the desperate search for a Tennessee woman, even after the man accused of attacking and kidnapping her was taken into custody hours earlier. Eric Wells, 43, was arrested and charged with aggravated kidnapping after he allegedly abducted Taryn Webster around 2:30 p.m. Monday, FOX13 Memphis reported. A witness said the 26-year-old woman was driving in a car in Memphis when she was chased by a man, believed to be Wells, in another vehicle.Webster’s vehicle crashed into a pole. Wells then attacked Webster and forced her into his vehicle before fleeing the scene, police said.
