  Sitrick And Company Resigns Repping Disgraced Mogul Harvey Weinstein EXCLUSIVE: The crisis public relations firm Sitrick And Company has resigned its post as spokesman for Harvey Weinstein. The firm was retained by Weinstein’s lawyers to handle PR for the mogul early last October, just as The New York Times and The New Yorker published stories alleging dozens of incidents of sexual misconduct. The board of directors of TWC summarily fired Weinstein when those stories hit. Since then, there have been criminal investigations, civil lawsuits, and more allegations made by former employees and actresses including Annabella Sciorra, Ashley Judd, Salma Hayek, Asia Argento, Rose McGowan and many others.

The Weinstein Company is seeking to depose the group that is trying to buy the studio and pledging to support Harvey Weinstein accusers, according to legal documents obtained by TheWrap.

The filing in bankruptcy court in Delaware comes after Broadway producer Howard Kagan's Inclusion Media increased his bid for TWC to $325 million earlier on Wednesday.

Kagan's new offer includes a $15 million breakup fee for Lantern Capital and a provision to give 5 percent of the equity in the new company to Harvey Weinstein's accusers. After taking those into account, Inclusion Media's bid matches Lantern's.

The Charmed star said that despite writing a book about her alleged experience, what made her feel “the true weight lift” was when the Weinstein Company declared bankruptcy. “It’s like this multi-headed hyrda, this monster, and it kept trying to come back,” she added. “People kept trying to buy the company back for him, and I was like, ‘no, you must stay down, it must show other people around the world that this can be done.

On Tuesday, it was announced that the majority of the The Weinstein Company's bankrupt assets will go to it's original bidder, the Dallas-based Lantern Capital Partners.

Kagan's initial bid had missed the Monday deadline.
