John Rogers Dies: President of Comic-Con International John Rogers, the president of Comic-Con International who helped grow the organization to unprecedented heights, has died. He passed Saturday morning from complications caused by brain cancer, organizers of the annual event announced on their Facebook page. No age was given. Rogers was first elected as president of Comic-Con in 1986 and was re-elected every year since, making him the longest-serving president of the pop culture convention, which started in 1970. Rogers is survived by his wife, Janet Tait, a former Comic-Con executive; sister Barbara, and brother David.

Peter Campbell McNeish (born 17 April 1955 in Leigh, Lancashire), known professionally as Pete Shelley , is an English singer, songwriter and guitarist, best known as the leader of Buzzcocks . Shelley was born to Margaret and John McNeish at 48 Milton Street, in Leigh.

The BBC reported that he died on Thursday of a suspected heart attack.

The band is known for hits like “Ever Fallen in Love,” “Orgasm Addict” and “What Do I Get.”

In a tweet Monday, Disney CEO Robert Iger said "Stan had the power to inspire, to entertain, and to connect. The scale of his imagination was only exceeded by the size of his heart." Iger tweet Lee's work creating characters for Marvel spanned the 1960s and into the early 1970s.
