The trailer promises more of the lush, extremely realistic CGI that director Jon Favreau and his team brought to the 2016 remake of "The Jungle Book." Simba and Mufasa look and walk like lions straight out of a nature documentary, with the Pride Lands recreated as an African savanna with perfectly rendered grass that antelopes and elephants traverse through.

The first trailer for Dora and the Lost City of Gold, the live-action Dora the Explorer movie, has been revealed. The trailer features Dora adjusting to a regular high school following her life in the jungle. Released 25 years after the original, the remake of "The Lion King" will star alongside Donald Glover as Simba, Beyonce Knowles-Carter, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Billy Eichner, Seth Rogen, John Oliver, John Kani, Alfre Woodard, Florence Kasumba, Eric Andre and Keegan-Michael Key.
"The Lion King" is expected to be one of the highest grossing films of the 2019 box office, as it shares a nostalgia factor enjoyed by the 2017 remake of "Beauty and the Beast."
That remake, released in March, grossed $504 million domestically and $1.26 billion worldwide.
"The Lion King" hits theaters July 19.
If you thought that Mufasa and Scar, in The Lion King, are brothers, you're all wrong!

According to an interview with Hello Giggles by Lion King director Rob Minkoff and producer Don Hahn, Scar and Mufasa have never been brothers:
[During the making of the film] we often talked about the fact that it was very likely that [Scar and Mufasa] did not have the same parents. Because of the way the lions act in nature ... when the male gets old, another arrives to take the lead of the troop. The lionesses then go into heat [to breed], the young lion kills the chief and then kills all the babies. He then takes the crown and directs the troop.
Yet, the last words of Mufasa are well: "Scar! Brother, help me! So they are good brothers, that's for sure! It is not so:
There is always this question, you know, to know how we do to have these two male lions? Sometimes, some troops have two males, in an interesting dynamic because they are not equal [since they do not have the same parents]. One of the lions will always be in the shadow of the other. We wanted to try to use these links to support our story, so we figured Scar and Mufasa could not really have the same genes. In fact, that's what [Scar] says. He replies: "Genetics did not spoil me", when he talks to Musafa, while he is furious that he does not come to Simba's coronation.
Knowing that, finally, Scar does not really kill his brother and does not try to murder his nephew, is something reassuring, right? What do you think ? Is it a myth that collapses? A relief ?
