Pop star Ariana Grande posted a “ terrifying ” image of her brain scan bringing awareness to post - traumatic stress disorder . The image of the healthy brain looked dark while the brain with PTSD was highlighted in a few places. Grande ’s brain also showed a few areas that were highlighted.

"Hilarious and terrifying," she captioned the photo, which she said showed a regular brain scan as well as her brain scan suffering from PTSD. She added that it is "not a joke"

Grande's post comes almost two years after a deadly terror attack at one of her concerts in Manchester, England, where a suicide bomber killed 22 concertgoers and injured more than 100 people.

Following the attack, Grande visited victims in a Manchester hospital. The entertainer also headlined a benefit concert two weeks after the bombing, which organizers said raised almost $3.5 million for victims.

She has spoken about dealing with trauma after the attack in the past, telling British Vogue last year that it is hard for her to talk about the incident without crying.

"It's hard to talk about because so many people have suffered such severe, tremendous loss. But, yeah, it's a real thing," she told the magazine.

Grande is set to host the Manchester Pride Festival this May on the second anniversary of the attack.
