(Photo) HBO just revealed the key art for the eighth and final season of "Game of Thrones," a poster that might actually tell us who will be sitting on the Iron Throne when all of this ends. Yes, yes, Game of Thrones is still doing the celebrity cameo thing, even after the Ed Sheeran incident of 2017. This time, it was It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Rob McElhenney whose familiar face could be spotted for a split second onscreen.

But in the Season Eight premiere on Sunday, a couple famous fans got the ultimate Game of Thrones treatment: Killed in a very brutal way. Rob McElhenney and Martin Starr made a brief cameo appearance in Game of Thrones Season Eight Episode One, where they were immediately

It’s Always Sunny in Westeros Valley.

Sunday’s Game of Thrones season 8 premiere featured numerous reunions, one romantic dragon ride, zero elephants, and, as it turns out, two blink-and-you-miss-it cameos. During Theon’s rescue of Yara, he and his crew took out a few of Euron’s men, including two played by It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia‘s Rob McElhenney and Silicon Valley‘s Martin Starr.

McElhenney, who also co-created the long-running FXX comedy, confirmed his role on Instagram with a shot of an arrow through his eye and the caption, “Don’t blink.” If rewatching, McElhenney and Starr are the first two casualties.

Not even Game of Thrones is immune the celebrity cameo. There was Ed Sheeran, Sigur Rós, Coldplay's Will Champion, Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody, Of Monsters and Men and now… Rob McElhenney . Freaks and Geeks, Party Down and Silicon Valley star Martin Starr also appears.

McElhenney’s cameo isn’t a huge shocker considering his relationship with GoT creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss goes back years, with the duo even writing a 2013 episode of Always Sunny.
