Oprah Winfrey is revealing the special way she celebrated getting her first million!

The media mogul stars in a new clip for O, The Oprah Magazine in which she answers young girls' questions about growing up, reading and much more. That's when the question comes up about hitting it big financially and Winfrey admits that, upon receiving that crisp million-dollar check, she needed to document the incredible moment.

"The first thing I did when I got my first check for a million dollars is I took a picture of it," she shares. "So there's a picture of me holding the check for a million dollars. That's the first thing I did."

Winfrey first decided to purchase her own jet in part because of an experience in an airport in 1991, when a woman accosted her while she sat waiting At one time, she reportedly owned a Bombardier Global Express XRS worth an estimated million . Other billionaires agree the purchase is worth it.

As far as splurging on the special occasion, the 65-year-old businesswoman admits that she decided to treat herself with some big, soft towels.

"The thing that I splurged on was really good towels," she states in the clip. "I love great towels. Towels that are so big and fluffy you could wrap yourself, your whole body in them."

The brand that she opted for when she upped her towel game? Ralph Lauren. During the video, Winfrey is also asked about an "aha" moment she fondly remembers, which prompts her to remember a conversation with an iconic writer.

"I think one of the biggest ones was when Maya Angelou told me, 'When people show you who they are, believe them the first time,'" she remembers. "I think that was probably my, 'Oh yeah, that's right. 'Cause people always show you who they are. That's a big, big, big, big 'aha' for me."

When asked about her favorite thing to do on date night with longtime boyfriend Stedman Graham, she gushed that he's easygoing.

"Usually it's something that I do for him," she shares. "Like, I'll make dinner for him. And this is the wonderful thing about Stedman, no matter what I make -- if it's toast --I toasted an English muffin for him the other day and he's saying to me, 'Oh my goodness, where did you get this English muffin?!' It doesn't matter what I do, he's always happy about whatever it is I'm cooking. So it's usually me cooking something and him enjoying it."

She also explains to the young girls the very best thing she learned when she reached adulthood, stating: "The best thing I learned when I became a grownup, I was in charge of my life and that the best I could do, ever, is be a person who listened to what my heart said, listen to what I believed to be true, and not listen to everybody else's ideas about what I should do or who I should be."
