Wesley Snipes has joined Eddie Murphy in, Paramount’s sequel to its popular 1988 comedy.
Craig Brewer, the director best known for Hustle & Flow,Kevin Misher producing via his Misher Films banner along with Kenya Barris and Murphy.
The original saw Murphy play Prince Akeem, a spoiled prince from the fictional African nation of Zamunda, who arrives in Queens, New York, and in undercover fashion gets a job at a McDonald’s knock-off while trying to find a wife.
The new story sees Akeem returning to America in order to find his long-lost son.

Arsenio Hall is already on board as reprising his role of his best friend.
Snipes will play a new character, General Izzi, a man who rules a neighboring nation.
A fall start is being eyed.
America will represent a reteaming of Snipes with both Murphy and Brewer. The trio collaborated ona biopic of comedian Rudy Ray Moore that will premiere at next month’s Toronto International Film Festival.
Snipes, perhaps best known for such as Blade, White Men Can’t Jump and New Jack City, is also starring in and exec producing indie action thriller Payline.

If you love Tell Me A Story, aired every Sunday night on 13th Street, you'll be happy to know that the CBS All Access series will be coming back for a season 2 ... unveiling today. For example, we know that Paul Wesley will be back in the sequel, in a new character far removed from that of Eddie, and we know the new tales chosen.
Two years afterPaul Wesley in the cast of season 2 of Tell Me A Story , fans of Paul Wesley can find in (released late 2018 in the United States on CBS All Access and currently in France on 13th Street). A brand new series modernizing the famous tales of our childhood, Little Red Riding Hood, The Three Little Pigs and Hansel & Gretel: , he is illustrated in the story of Three Little Pigs in the role of Eddie.
His character has nothing to do with that of Stefan in Vampire Diaries. A significant difference for Paul Wesley as he told: "I think it's very easy for people to associate you with a single character, you have to work constantly, like Daniel Radcliffe or even Robert Pattinson (...) It's important to play several styles of characters. " The actor will once again have the opportunity to move away from the ex-vampire in season 2 of Tell Me A Story.

Anthony Michael Hall will join Jamie Lee Curtis in “Halloween Kills,” the latest sequel in Blumhouse and Universal’s horror franchise. Hall will portray Tommy Doyle, a character who first appeared in the original “Halloween” movie as one of the kids Laurie Strode (Curtis) babysat the night Michael Myers reigned terror on the small town. Doyle’s character (portrayed in that movie by Paul Rudd) returned in 1995’s “Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers.” In that film, Doyle teamed with the iconic Dr. Loomis to help stop Myers again. As previously announced, the studio will shoot two “Halloween” installments back-to-back.
