Thomas Ravenel pleaded guilty to charges of third degree assault and battery after being accused of sexual assault by a former nanny.
The Southern Charm alum, 57, entered his plea in a Charleston County courtroom on Wednesday, September 11, per WCSC. He received a 30-day sentence suspended to a $500 fine.
Though the woman was not in court for the sentencing, Ravenel addressed her. “On the night of the incident, I did attempt to kiss her and in doing so I grabbed her arm and that was wrong, and I am much appreciative of theopportunity to apologize to her in court today,” he told the judge.

A former Cameron, Missouri, teacher has agreed to a federal plea deal on child pornography charges. Prosecutors said Derek Williams, 39, used a hidden camera inside a cellphone charger to record child victims inside his home. Williams admitted to using the hidden camera to secretly record three teenage victims. Those crimes allegedly took place over a five-year span and started in January 2013. During his plea, Williams said a 15-year-old victim discovered the hidden camera in a basement bathroom. The victim opened the device and removed a micro SD card which included the secretly recorded video. The victim turned that card over to investigators.
Ravenel shares daughter Kensie, 5, and son Saint, 3, with ex Kathryn Dennis. Earlier this month, the former couple negotiated a joint custody arrangement.

Man pleads guilty in boating crash that killed granddaughter, girlfriend
A man responsible for a boating accident that killed two people, including his own granddaughter, pleaded guilty to negligent homicide Tuesday. On May 5, 2018, John Wickman was operating a motor boat on the Piscataqua River with three other people on board. Two of the people were his grandchildren; the other was his girlfriend. “During the course of their trip on their way back, he was distracted looking at his GPS,” Assistant County Attorney, Ryan Ollis said. At the time, prosecutors say, he was driving at about 45 mph. “He indicated that he was looking at his GPS and looking at his passengers just before he struck a green buoy,” Ollis said. That buoy was 6,000 pounds.
Ravenel was arrested for assault and battery in the second degree in September 2018. He was previously accused of sexually assaulting Debbie Holloway Perkins after meeting her on Tinder, though he denied her claims.
Bravo confirmed to Us in September 2018 that Ravenel would not return for season 6 of Southern Charm.
Dennis, for her part, reacted to news of his arrest during the season premiere, which aired in May. “He didn’t even call me,” the 28-year-old TV personality explained. “You would think [he would say], ‘Just want to let you know I was arrested this morning, but the kids are fine.’”
Portwood was arrested on felony domestic battery charges in Indiana in July 2019, according to Radar Online.

Robert Trundy originally pleaded not guilty to manslaughter in the death of Karen Wrentzel, 34. Trundy changed his plea on Tuesday to guilty. A judge sentenced Trundy to 9 months in jail and 4 years of probation. Wrentzel was shot in the stomach while digging for gemstones on her property in October 2017. In an affidavit filed at the time of the shooting, Trundy said he thought he was firing at a deer but he acknowledged he never saw the outline of a deer. Wardens said he fired from 200 feet away.
The musician was arrested in Chicago on March 6, 2019, for failing to pay child support to his ex-wife, Drea. The former couple share three children together: daughter Joann and sons Jay and Robert Jr. This arrest comes just one week after Kelly pleaded not guilty to 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse.

On Jan. 1 2004, the Godfather of Soul was arrested in Aiken County, SC, on a domestic violence charge. Tomi Rae Hynie claimed the singer had pushed her to the floor during an argument at their home. In June, Brown pleaded no contest to the domestic violence incident. Instead of serving jail time, Brown was required to forfeit a $1,087 bond.
Rob Kardashian’s girlfriend was arrested at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas on Jan. 29, 2016, for public intoxication. According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, the TV personality was kicked off her British Airways flight from Texas to London. She was later charged with drug possession after police found two small pills that equaled 1.26 grams of ecstasy in her bag.
The “Uptown Funk” crooner was arrested on suspicion of narcotics possession in Las Vegas in September 2010. Police confirmed that Mars (real name: Peter Hernandez) was in possession of 2.6 grams of cocaine. He pleaded guilty in February 2011, and was sentenced to probation and had to perform community service and attend drug counseling. He also had to pay a $2,000 fine.
The Pawn Stars personality was taken into custody on March 9 on 19 drug charges and one weapon charge. Police found methamphetamine, marijuana and at least one gun in the History Channel star’s home while serving a search warrant in a sexual assault investigation, according to the Las Vegas Sun.
