The Simpsons: episodes spoiled by Disney +, angry fans
Launched this Tuesday, November 12 in the US, Disney + is already talking a lot about her. Unfortunately, the streaming platform is only entitled to compliments. The proof, the Simpson fans are already angry at her, the fault with its format of diffusion which ruins the series of origin.

Simpson Just hours after its big launch in the US, Disney +, the competing platform of Netflix and Prime Video, is already doing a lot talk about her, but not necessarily good. In addition to many surprising technical bugs for such a project, the fans of the Simpson have just made a terrible discovery: the series of the studio 20th Century Fox (recently bought by the house of Mickey) present in the catalog, is there not at all respected.
Rest assured, we do not talk about censorship - as recently suspected with Netflix and South Park , but the episode format has been changed to bring a sense of HD and second youth to a 30 year old series . Thus, while the first 20 seasons were created in 4/3 format to match the televisions of the time, they have been modified here in 16/9 to stick to the current screens.
Episodes victim of a new format
Nothing serious if it allows to enjoy a viewing more in line with our TVs of the moment, especially since the black stripes on the sides are still ugly? On the contrary. As Internet users have noted, these new dimensions change a lot of things in the series.
You can discover it below, decors can be totally cut which thus removes the force of many visual gags, the faces can be deformed or not at all to be framed, and one can also attend strange scenes like the one where Homer normally looks at his TV on his couch, but when the camera turns to the TV in question, the image is not stretched (to make us understand what we look at) what imposes ... the famous black bands.
Note that Disney + is not totally at fault. In retrieving the series - which was previously rebroadcast on FXX, she simply took the format used by this channel. Nevertheless, it remains a small professional mistake to have kept this way of doing things, especially since FXX, already regularly criticized for that, allows today to choose the desired format at the time of viewing. A method soon put in place by the platform? We hope so.
All the classic Simpsons episodes on Disney + are in cropped widescreen format - this means you're out of tones of great visual jokes, like how Duff, Duff Lite and Duff Dry all come from the same tube. pic.twitter.com/cTy9adulFl

November 12, 2019 Not only are the classic Simpsons episodes on Disney + awkwardly cropped, but they're stretched in a lot of places too. Here are some of the most popular videos of the TV in 4: 3. They really should have just kept the whole thing in it's original aspect ratio. pic.twitter.com/N2w7IxL3l9

November 12, 2019 Hey @disneyplus , the wrong aspect ratio for the early

seasons is a massive #DisneyPlusfail
. TV2 pic.twitter.com/3TQcEJJYPm - Frank Wells (@FrankTracy) November 13, 2019 Egads, did @WatchWithDisney under the name of ALL the old Simpsons ratio? That's insane. Large chunks of the show just looks "wrong" like this. And for good reason.
Do not have any other 4: 3 content doing this. What's the deal, @TheSimpsons
