Questioning new uses of digital technology

In the form of a creative marathon, OpéraMorphose will question opera by confronting it with societal and contemporary issues as well as new uses of digital technology. The meeting will bring together artists and professionals from the lyrical art, from other artistic disciplines (movement arts, storytelling arts, image art and urban forms), with digital professionals and engineers.

This collaboration will encourage sharing, innovation and research. It illustrates the desire of the Operas in general, and that of Rennes in particular, to be places open to all, in perpetual evolution and which interact with their environment and their time.

Opera and freedom

In this particular context of the covid crisis, the theme of "opera and freedom" has emerged. How to invite artists to take up this question? How can they help think through and get through this ordeal? How can this question push the Opera to reinvent itself in its very form as much as to reinvent ourselves?
