Assange lawyer says Trump offered indirect offer of pardon

Assange lawyer says Trump offered indirect offer of pardon LONDON (AP) — A lawyer for WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has told a London court that her client was indirectly offered a “win-win” deal by President Donald Trump that would see him avoid extradition to the U.S. if he revealed the source of a leak of documents from the Democratic Party before the 2016 election. Assange, who didn't reveal the source of the leak of the Democratic National Committee emails, is fighting efforts by the U.S. to extradite him to face an array of charges related to his work at WikiLeaks.

The DAX rose 0.44 percent at 12,812.08 points. The leading domestic index remained in the profit zone until late afternoon. Then the developments in the USA came back into focus and the DAX is now falling. There is currently a discount of 0.56 percent to 12,689.65 points on the price board.

The hopes of a US economic stimulus plan, which seem to have waned again, weighed on the mood on the German stock market.

The dominant motto on the stock exchanges is to wait, explained market analyst Thomas Altmann from QC Partners. New impetus should come with the presidential election in the USA and the end of the British transition period for Brexit at the latest. "Then at the latest the DAX will break out of its sideways range," believes the expert.
