Leanza Cornett, Miss America who was crusading AIDS activist, dies at 49 Challenging the pageant’s prim reputation, she used her year-long reign to call attention to AIDS and promote safe sex. At a time when AIDS was considered a terminal illness and HIV-positive people faced discrimination, Ms. Cornett jolted the pageant’s prim reputation and made headlines for bringing her pro-condom message into schools. “Girls, no love unless he wears a glove,” she told her teenage audience. “Boys, if you love her, wear a cover. Don’t leave home without it.” Ms. Cornett clashed with some nervous educators but often managed to prevail, one way or another.

In a statement, a trust spokesperson said: 'Decisions about physical interventions made in our care are arrived at after a thorough exploration process. 'While some of our patients may decide not to pursue physical treatment or drop out of treatment, the experience of regret described here is rarely seen.'

Ravens TE Nick Boyle done for year .
Boyle has never been one to light up the stat sheet, but his blocking prowess has made him an integral part of the Ravens’ offense. Last year, he set new career highs with 31 catches for 321 yards and two scores. Through nine games this year, he caught 14 balls from Lamar Jackson for 113 yards and two TDs. The advanced metrics have underscored Boyle’s importance to the team, however — he often places in the top 30 at his position, even though he’s rarely targeted. The Ravens could call on one of their practice squad tight ends — Xavier Grimble or Sean Culkin — to replace Boyle on the active roster.
