work in Cologne: RTL survives Corona year 2020 better than expected The media group RTL has come through the Corona year 2020 much better than expected despite weaker advertising income. The group, which is listed in the SDax index for small values, benefited from advertising revenues in the important fourth quarter. For example, sales in 2020, at around six billion euros, did not fall as sharply as the management board last forecast. © dpa The headquarters of the RTL media group in the Deutz district of Cologne.

In his role as Commissioner Mehmet Özakin in the ARD crime series " Istanbul Murder Commission" surrounds himself with Erol Sander (52 ) often with beautiful women and live ammunition. How it all began for Erol Sander

The actor told "rtl.de": "I love challenges." For the shooting of his film "Soraya" he had to learn how to waltz within 35 minutes. Now the anticipation is all the greater to learn how to dance properly.

Erol knows a lot about challenges even in his turbulent private life. Born in Turkey, he came to Germany at the age of five. At the beginning of the 1990s, however, he ended up in Paris as a photo model, where he stood in front of the camera for well-known designers such as Dior and Dolce & Gabbana . In the city of love he met his future wife Caroline Goddet (43), with whom he had two sons.

"Let's Dance" as an opportunity

Erol also expects completely new impulses from his participation in "Let's Dance" with regard to his career. In an interview with "rtl.de" he is enthusiastic about this opportunity. "Acting is my passion! Dancing is an asset to me as an actor."

comment: Uli Hoeneß as RTL expert, it will be great fun!

comment: Uli Hoeneß as RTL expert, it will be great fun! Not everything that RTL does when using its TV rights to the national soccer team is convincing. Apart from what the station produces before, during and after the games, most of it is fine. And it gets much better, because the Cologne team has brought Uli Hoeneß into the house as an expert for the qualifying games for the 2022 World Cup.

So far, Erol has not only appeared as Mehmet Özakin. He also took part in the Karl May Games and the Nibelungen Festival and played Prince Pharnakes in the monumental film "Alexander" at the side of Hollywood beauty Angelina Jolie (45). Who knows, maybe in one of his future roles he'll be just as hot on the floor as in "Let's Dance" on February 26th.

But does Erol Sander have a chance of winning? These celebrities have already been able to cheer as dance champions in recent years.
