Sonos Is Doubling Down on HiFi Streaming

As far as lossless, CD-quality (or better) music streaming services go, Tidal is probably the one you’ve actually heard of. However, Qobuz has also been around for a hot minute.
Differences in the age groups
There are perceptible differences in the age groups. In the recent users in comparison, even Spotify has the nose in front. Accordingly, 41 percent of the 18- to 29-year-olds gave us to use YouTube, but 50 percent use on Spotify. In all older groups, however, the video platform wins. The over 55-year-olds are about 29 percent, which enjoy their favorite songs over Youtube and only nine percent who listen to Spotify.
of BVMI had previously reported that the sales of the music industry had grown in Germany in 2020. Proceeds from streaming and sales of soundtracks was therefore an approximately 1.79 billion euros - at the previous year a plus of nine percent. Almost three-quarters of revenue, 71.5 percent, came from online music use. Audio streaming therefore had a share of 63.4 percent in the overall market. The good old CD came to 21.6 percent, vinyl landed with 5.5 percent in third place and downloads ranked with 4.2 percent in fourth place.
Spotify rolls out its own hands-free voice assistant on iOS and Android .
Spotify users on iOS and Android have another way to quickly play something. The audio streaming service has an in-app voice assistant you can operate hands free, building on the existing voice search function. After saying the "Hey, Spotify" wake word, you can ask the app to fire up a song or playlist or play music from a certain artist. You'll need to grant Spotify permission to access your microphone if you want to use the feature, which you can switch on from the voice interactions section of the menu.
