  Daniel Craig hopes No Time To Die will boost ailing cinemas post-Covid Daniel Craig, along with other stars of the upcoming James Bond film, No Time To Die, hopes that the Covid-delayed film can boost ailing cinemas amid the pandemic. Craig and Rami Malek play 007 and his latest nemesis in the spy drama - which is officially the longest James Bond film ever made with a runtime of 163 minutes - and the actors have both expressed hopes that the cinema business picks up again soon.Craig told PA: 'There's a great deal of expectation surrounding this film. I believe in cinema, it's the job I do and having this film come out right now and try and hopefully to give the industry some sort of boost.

The ultimate guide to Bond theme songs, from the people who made them

  The ultimate guide to Bond theme songs, from the people who made them We combed through the archives to hear from the towering talents who contributed to Bond's indelible musical past.Music is as important to the James Bond franchise as shaken martinis. The notion of the Bond theme — a title track performed by a popular artist of the era — started with a bang: Shirley Bassey's legendary "Goldfinger," a brassy smash that played over the opening credits of 1964's Goldfinger and gave Bond films a template to follow to this day. Sometimes the marriage of performer and Bond resulted in a song that exploded in the cultural consciousness beyond the film itself: Paul McCartney and Wings' title track for 1973's Live and Let Die hit No.

Film Start Editor and Action Cinema Lovers Björn Mug, like all colleagues, asks in two paragraphs shortly before, why the selected movie has a special place in his heart.

+++ Opinion +++

Björn Mug Loves "The Hint of Death" with Timothy Dalton

as a child of the eighties was Timothy Dalton my first encounter with the agent with the license to kill. My father, who still undertakes today for 007 otherwise rare cinemaesearch, always looked at Bond when it was possible - in the cinema, on VHS, on TV. So I soon saw the previous movies with Sean Connery, George Lazenby and Roger Moore. Some of the former films, I find even "better", such as "love greetings from Moscow" or "Goldfinger", but " the touch of death " with Dalton remains nonetheless my absolute favorite bond adventure.

How James Bond author Ian Fleming created a movie icon

  How James Bond author Ian Fleming created a movie icon The world's most famous spy was born from an insider's knowledge of the British intelligence services and a fondness for women, alcohol, and gambling. With the war over, Fleming worked as foreign manager for The Sunday Times, overseeing the paper's foreign correspondents as he had once overseen British agents. Fleming finally began writing his spy novel at GoldenEye, the author's vacation home in Jamaica, early in 1952. He was encouraged to do so by the fact that his fiancée and longtime lover, Ann, was pregnant and Fleming knew he would need money to support his family.

Even today, I get right goose bumps when I see Dalton's very first bond (just a sensational cool view over the shoulder) in the already best opening scene of the series. The much more ground-to-earth scenario is still for tension in comparison with the Moore bonds. Because Dalton there is a pair of humor, perhaps even the perfect blend from the two different 007 worlds - in which there is also much more handmade action, which is not always immediately (as just at the end at Moore far too often) The Stuntman is used.
