A spokesperson for Uber said the company is looking to work with those who have a similar outlook on COVID and masking, and that person is certainly not Jay.

"We are proud of all the work Uber has done over the last year to help get as many people vaccinated as possible. As such, we prefer to partner with those who support that work," an Uber spokesperson told DailyMail.com.

Continuing to hint that he plans to run for the Williamson County School Board, the retired NFL player tweeted that he's likely on course for a 2024 campaign.

Since his outspoken views, Jay has been showered with praise and disgust by fellow Twitter users. On Aug. 16, he took a swipe at his critics.

"Appreciate the words of support.  What I don't understand is the people verbally attacking me," he wrote. "What happened to unity, acceptance and bringing people together? Seems like that isn't the case unless I agree with you. Get a shot or wear a mask. Your choice. I will make my choice."
