KCRA's Leticia Ordaz spoke with Jonathan Allen from a Solano County jail:

HOW ARE YOU DOING?

Allen: It is extraordinarily hard. At first, they took my kids and then they took my wife and now they took me. It's extraordinarily hard not to even be asked, "Do you love your kids?" It's hard.

Jonathan Allen and Ina Rogers© Fairfield Police Department Jonathan Allen and Ina Rogers

Allen: I want to tell them that I love them and that this will pass, whether their minds understand now or later, they will understand. They know, they know daddy. They're just babies. I don't even know what to tell them.

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO SAY TO AUTHORITIES WHO SAY THAT YOUR CHILDREN WERE TORTURED AND ABUSED?

Allen: I'm saying that it's so messed up. When CPS first took our kids, they had no marks on them whatsoever. That was one of the first things CPS looked at when they took our kids. After they took our kids, they had placed them in homes. They were further inspected there. Then after that, they were further inspected there. It wasn't until personal family issues, personal family vendettas, that accusations like this and on other family members took place. I want the police to know that I'm not an animal. They didn't even ask me -- they didn't even tell me was I supposedly did. They just told me child endangerment and torture -- six counts, 10 counts, just number and counts.

Prosecutor: Children tortured "for sadistic purposes"

Prosecutor: Children tortured A California police lieutenant says children taken from a home said they had puncture wounds, burns, bruises and injuries consistent with being shot with a pellet gun. Sharon Henry, chief deputy district attorney for Solano County, said she was "horrified" by the statements from the children and that torture was carried out in the house "for sadistic purposes." SO YOU'RE SAYING THAT YOU'RE NOT A CRUEL DAD?

Allen: No, I'm not a cruel dad. I may look like X, Y, Z but I am not a cruel dad whatsoever. I am the most loving parent that I could possibly be. I'm sure you're going to ask about the religious prospect of it too. I am like the Indiana Jones when it comes to spirituality. I dig deep. I realize that God has millions of names and just because he was called one name by one people doesn't mean that the other names aren't correct, and they just try to tie this in. They came into the house, and the officer was extremely angry at me for having my spiritual temple clean. The first thing he said to me was a derogatory statement about my temple and then just walked off.

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO THE OFFICERS WHO SAY YOUR CHILDREN WERE BURNED, HIT WITH PELLET GUNS? WHY WOULD THEY SAY THIS?

a man wearing glasses and looking at the camera© KCRA

Allen: They would say this because they are brainwashed, because they are still children. Look at the other cases: People have been proven to brainwash children. People have been proven to implant items into children's brains. Any doctor would be able to look at these kids -- that's why I don't even know why I'm in here.

Fairfield, California parents accused of abusing 10 kids had history of domestic violence

Fairfield, California parents accused of abusing 10 kids had history of domestic violence The Fairfield, Calif. man accused of torturing his children had a history of domestic violence and a knack for isolating his family from relatives and neighbors, court records and interviews show. Jonathan Allen, 29, was known to his neighbors as an enigmatic loner, but police records paint a picture of a man who has routinely threatened the lives of his wife and children. He was arrested Friday and booked into Solano County Jail on seven counts of torture and nine counts of child abuse or endangerment.

Allen told the KCRA reporter that he was “ not an animal” and “ not a cruel dad whatsoever.” The bathroom is strewn with feces at a home in Fairfield, Calif ., Monday, May 14, 2018, where authorities removed 10 children and charged their father with torture and their mother with neglect after an

David Turpin, accused of neglecting and shackling his 13 children, talks to his attorney David Macher during an appearance at the Riverside Hall of Justice in Riverside, Calif . on Friday, May 4, 2018. David Turpin did not enter a plea to the eight counts of perjury filed for the torture case.

SO YOU HAVE NEVER SPANKED YOUR CHILDREN?

Allen: I have never spanked my children. I have gotten loud before, but I have never spanked my children. I live a very spiritual life, not in the sense that I believe in offerings or doing torturous things kids and these satanic things that they're trying to say that I do. That's not what I do. I would say the closest thing to me is like Indiana Jones or a deep sea diver or a high climber, with alternate spirituality.

WOULD YOUR CHILDREN CALL YOU A LOVING, CARING DAD?

Allen: Yes, they would, if they weren't in such a manipulative environment, of course.

WHAT IS YOUR FEAR ABOUT THE FUTURE? DO YOU THINK YOU MAY NEVER SEE THEM AGAIN?

Allen: I know that the evidence will show itself. My biggest fear in all of this is that they have messed my kids up -- that they have diluted and demonized me and my children's mom. And who knows how long that will last?

WHO IS THEY?

Allen: I would say the ones asking them the questions, that would be the detectives because I feel there is extreme prejudice placed on me by the Fairfield Police Department -- not racism -- the Fairfield Police Department is full of all races, but definitely extreme prejudice.

(FAIRFIELD, Calif .) Separately, prosecutors in Riverside County filed eight new charges against a father accused of shackling and starving some of his 13 children, alleging that he lied on government forms about their schooling.

WHY DO YOU THINK YOUR CHILDREN WOULD SAY SOMETHING LIKE THIS?

Allen: I don't know. I don't think they really understood -- it's not like CPS took my kids and these are the allegations. No, my kids went through going into foster care, getting taken out of our house, being place with different people throughout the county, then being placed with grandma and then the other half being placed with someone else. They haven't had a moment to calm down.

TELL ME ABOUT THE CONDITION YOUR HOME WAS FOUND IN. THERE WAS FECES IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE HOME.

Allen: What they are talking about is I have two bathrooms, and I have this German shepherd, and in both bathrooms, I had put the German shepherd puppy. And in both bathrooms, it had blew up both bathrooms -- both bathrooms it destroyed. When they first came and got the kids from my wife, there was diapers on the floor, evidently from them being changed, and that's what they're talking about the fecal. It was like what the dog did in the bathroom and when they came into the house, what they saw on the floor.

AND THAT WASN'T CLEANED UP?

Allen: It was cleaned up, and so when they came back again (trails off) ... I mean we don't have our kids back. I was trying to fight this case, and I was trying to get our kids back, so we cleaned out the entire -- if you see what it was like before, we cleaned a lot of in there. And when they came back again, it wasn't 100 percent because we weren't there yet. The house wasn't 100 percent clean yet.

SO YOU'RE SAYING YOUR CHILDREN LIVED A NORMAL LIFE?

Allen: I'm saying they had a normal life except for being in home schooled. They have a normal life. I gave my everything to these children -- my everything. The police demonized me all the way down to the names I picked for my children.

TELL ME MORE ABOUT YOUR THOUGHTS OF HAVING MORE CHILDREN AND WANTING TO BRING THEM INTO THE WORLD.

Allen: I do love my children, and some people ask, "How can you do it with all these kids?" But the truth is that it is a functioning household, everyone helped everyone. It was a complete circle. The older ones helped the little ones, it was a complete circle.
