iOS 11.4 will add multi-room and stereo audio to the HomePod today Apple will release iOS 11.4 today, which, with the inclusion of AirPlay 2, will bring more functionality to the HomePod. Though other speakers, like the Amazon Echo and Google Home already feature multi-room audio, the HomePod didn't launch with that capability. It also hasn't yet supported stereo pairing. But with today's update, the HomePod now supports both features. Users can sync their HomePods with other AirPlay 2-enabled speakers and play audio throughout multiple rooms. They can also pair two HomePods to create a stereo system. HomePod will launch in Canada, France and Germany on June 18th.

ALMATY/ ANKARA, June 3- Some foreign companies in Turkmenistan are struggling to make sales and collect payments as economic pressures mount in large part because of a sharp drop in the Central Asian nation's crucial gas exports.

The newspaper cites people familiar with the matter who say that Apple has cut its orders for iPhone 5 parts . It's important to note that a drop in part orders does not necessarily mean that iPhone 5 sales are disappointing.

Apple shares were down 1.5 percent Friday after a report said the company told its supply chain to make 20 percent fewer parts for iPhones in the second half of 2018.

The Nikkei newspaper, citing unnamed industry sources, reported that Apple was placing less orders as it is taking a "cautious" approach toward upcoming iPhone shipments this year.

The company is reportedly set to launch three new iPhone models in the latter half of 2018, which is when it usually presents new phones.

The Nikkei said that Apple expects shipments of 80 million units for the new phones, compared to the 100 million units it had placed orders for last year.

Apple was not immediately available for comment when contacted by CNBC.

Apple's latest smartphone, the iPhone X, is the first to be equipped with an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) screen. OLED screens make images appear brighter and sharper than the light-crystal display (LCD) panels.

It is also the most expensive phone to have ever been released by the company, with a $999 price tag.

iOS 12 will automatically share your iPhone location during 911 calls .
Apple has just announced a new iOS 12 feature for the US this fall: automatic location sharing with first responders when you dial 911 from your iPhone. This iOS 12 change builds on Apple’s Hybridized Emergency Location (HELO) system launched in 2015, and it will be integrated with existing software on “many” 911 centers’ systems with the help of emergency tech company RapidSOS.
