You may recall that, last year, a DC bar was offering PBR pounders for the price of Werth’s batting average– .11 at the time it began. Well, this year, the bar is a bit more optimistic with their promotion: any time Werth hits a home run and you’re wearing your Nats gear, you get a free shot of

Once considered a reclamation project at best, Baltimore 's Chris Davis is hitting the ball at MVP levels. He had a terrible batting approach, one that could best be described as swing for the moon, then offer every fan on the third-base side a nice, cool breeze.

Chris Davis’ atrocious 2018 season continues, and now one local bar is seizing the opportunity for a clever (and somewhat sad) promotion.

Edward Lee of the Baltimore Sun shared news on Wednesday that Bartenders Pub in Baltimore is now offering free shots every time that the slumping Orioles slugger gets a hit. The promotion, which was just announced on the bar’s Facebook page this week, will specifically net customers who are present for the hit free Dr. Pepper shooters, which are a mix of amaretto and Miller High Life beer that supposedly tastes like the popular soft drink.

Colts' Chris McCain charged with battery after allegedly beating woman

Colts' Chris McCain charged with battery after allegedly beating woman Indianapolis Colts pass rusher Chris McCain is in a world of trouble off the field mere months after he signed a free agent contract with the team. According to TMZ Sports, the 27-year-old has been charged by authorities in Los Angeles on two counts of misdemeanor battery after allegedly spitting on an unnamed woman and forcefully grabbing her by the neck back in January.

BALTIMORE -- Orioles slugger Chris Davis tried just about everything to break out of lengthy hitting slump. "When you're hitting just over .200, it feels like every pitch you take is a strike and every time you hit a ball hard somebody is standing there.

As the city of neighborhoods, it makes sense that Baltimore is also the city of bar crawls. You know the kind—where you and your friends meander through the streets, stopping into corner dives or cocktail bars to get a fix at each one.

“We’re just trying to give people a reason to come out and watch the games again,” co-owner Danny Coker was quoted as saying.

“It’s a superstition that we hope will encourage [Davis] to do well,” he added.

Unfortunately, Davis and the O’s have not been doing well this season to say the least. The 32-year-old former All-Star, who is only in the third year of a massive seven-year, $161 million deal, holds a grisly slash line of .150/.227/.227. Meanwhile, the Orioles are an MLB-worst 19-47 on the year as a team.

For those keeping score at home, Davis has recorded just 31 hits in 57 games so far this year, including going hitless in 32 of them. Thus, the promotion probably won’t cost Bartenders Pub very much, and it is definitely a more wholesome reaction to Davis’ struggles than some of the others we’ve seen.
