Kyle Busch is NASCAR's most polarizing driver, and he embraces that role, seldom holding his feelings and opinions back. He's one of those drivers people love, hate and love to hate.

So it's hilarious but somewhat unsurprising that when he called for an Uber to go to a Michigan race track Monday, he got trash-talked by his driver. Busch was in the Great Lakes State last weekend for the Cup Series and XFINITY Series races at Michigan International Speedway, but he stuck around to compete in Monday's ARCA/CRA Super Series Late Model event at Berlin Raceway.

The No. 18 Toyota driver was in downtown Grand Rapids when he needed a ride to the track and caught Uber driver George Berridge - who happened to be a longtime NASCAR fan - totally off-guard, according to an MLive.com story.

"I yelled, 'Rowdy Busch,'" said Berridge, a big-time race fan. "He said, 'Yeah, that's me.' And then I told him, 'Are you ready to get your a** kicked tonight?'

"He said, 'Dude, my Uber driver is going to start the ride like this? Seriously?' It was epic. I looked down and saw the name Kyle on my phone and said, 'Oh, man.' That wasn't a very good way to start the ride."

Busch finished third in the short-track late model event Monday, after coming in fourth in Sunday's Cup Series race and sixth in Saturday's XFINITY Series one.

Eventually, Berridge told Busch he was just messing around with him, and he ended up taking a selfie with the 2015 Cup Series champion. But he also said that after talking with Busch, his perspective has changed. More from the Uber driver, via MLive.com:

"To go and be able to talk to a NASCAR champion, yes, my opinion has changed. I will always think he is a cry baby, but that just goes to show his competitive nature. He is not out there for a paycheck. He is out there to win races. His Late Model racing is a prime example of that."

For Clint Bowyer, Sonoma Raceway is a lot like Martinsville .
Clint Bowyer had an immediate attraction to Sonoma Raceway because this track behaves like a twisted Martinsville. In fact, Bowyer enters the Toyota/SaveMart 350 with seven top-five finishes in 12 starts that includes a runner-up finish in last year’s Sonoma race. If not for a couple of misfortunes (crash damage in 2010 and an electrical problem in 2016), he might well have swept the top 10 since scoring that first top five as a sophomore.
