Las Vegas thinks LeBron James signing with Lakers is a ‘sure thing’

Las Vegas thinks LeBron James signing with Lakers is a ‘sure thing’ Several NBA reporters have insisted that LeBron James has not yet decided where he will sign as a free agent this summer, but oddsmakers in Las Vegas obviously are not buying it. The gambling odds for where LeBron is going to end up this summer seem to be favoring the Los Angeles Lakers more by the day. As of the weekend, they were the overwhelming favorites to sign LeBron at -325. Vegas views James re-signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers as the second most likely result, though the odds of that happening are not great.

Despite all of the bitter and bizarre battles that they have fought over the years, LeBron James seems to have no qualms about Lance Stephenson joining him on the Los Angeles Lakers.

Tania Ganguli of the LA Times reported on Monday that Stephenson’s agent called James’ agent to make sure that The King was OK with Stephenson joining the Lakers.

The 27-year-old Stephenson agreed to a one-year, $4.5 million deal with the Lakers on Sunday, just hours after it was announced that James would be signing a four-year deal with the team.

The two players had some heated clashes over the years competing out East, and Stephenson earned himself a reputation as perhaps the NBA’s premier LeBron pest. It doesn’t sound like they will have any trouble co-existing in LA though, despite the funny jokes that the Internet had about the odd pairing.

Clippers' Jerry West: 'LeBron was not a tough free-agent signing' .
Jerry West was not impressed by the Lakers' "recruitment" of LeBron James."All due respect to the Lakers, who handled everything well, but as these things go, LeBron was not a tough free-agent signing," West told Sports Illustrated. "LeBron wanted to come to L.A. and he wanted to come to the Lakers. Period.
