The Nuggets have signed Isaiah Thomas to a one-year deal, according to ESPN.com, to reunite with Michael Malone, who coached him with the Kings.

The report states the deal is for the league's veteran minimum.

Thomas was traded to the Cavaliers last season as a part of the Kyrie Irving deal, but he never fully recovered from an injured hip. He was then dealt to the Lakers, where he averaged 15.6 points in 17 games.

Before the injury, Thomas had developed into one of the game's elite scoring point guards, averaging 28.9 points in 2016-17 with the Celtics. But questions remain regarding his long-term health.
