This 11-year-old is delivering police officers across the country a lot of gratitude … with frosting and sprinkles on top.

Tyler Carach has brought more than 65,000 doughnuts to cops in more than 30 states. He says it's his mission to thank every police officer in America via the cliche snack. Tyler goes by “Donut Boy,” and he always wears a deliciously colorful cape.

The slogan: “I donut need a reason to thank a cop.”

The Florida fifth grader’s latest stop was to a Chicago police precinct. Alex Moreno, an officer from the department’s 14th District, set a new “Donut Boy” record by polishing off 15 treats, according to WFLD.

And the men and women in uniform gave Tyler a taste of his own sweet medicine, presenting a cake for his 11th birthday.

Tyler’s mother is a former police officer. They say his mission began in August 2016, when Tyler saw four deputies at a store and asked his mom whether he could use his allowance money to buy them doughnuts. The cops’ excitement and smiles gave them the idea for a nationwide campaign.

"When I left, I asked my mom, 'Why are they so happy over a snack?'" Tyler told WFLD. "And she said it wasn't the snack they're happy about, it's because I took the time to say thank you."

Tyler and his mother have been road-tripping for the past two years during school holidays and summer vacations to spread love in baked form. Their efforts are funded in part by donations.
