Report: NFL, Chiefs knew about Kareem Hunt video

Report: NFL, Chiefs knew about Kareem Hunt video Video evidence of Kareem Hunt’s altercation with a woman in a hotel is bad enough, but the NFL and Kansas City Chiefs reportedly knew about the footage yet did nothing. According to NFL reporter Benjamin Allbright, two league sources asserted that the NFL and organization knew of the video. Two calls in the last ten minutes from people who would know both claiming Chiefs and the league knew about existence of video in Kareem Hunt incident. — Benjamin Allbright (@AllbrightNFL) November 30, 2018 As some have quickly pointed out, it’s theoretically possible the Chiefs and the NFL did not watch the video.

Wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin, who was released earlier this week by the Buffalo Bills, is set to sign a one-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs, multiple media outlets reported Thursday night.

After being waived by the Bills on Tuesday, Benjamin went unclaimed on waivers Wednesday, making him a free agent.

By signing with Kansas City, Benjamin is likely to play for a team that will be in the playoffs. He will become a free agent again after this season.

Report: Chiefs' Hunt placed on Commissioner's Exempt List

Report: Chiefs' Hunt placed on Commissioner's Exempt List The NFL has placed Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt on the commissioner's exempt list following the release of a video Friday in which Hunt shoved and kicked a woman in a Cleveland hotel in February, the league announced. The exempt list is defined as, per the NFL player personnel policy manual: "a special player status available to clubs only in unusual circumstances. The List includes those players who have been declared by the Commissioner to be temporarily exempt from counting within the Active List limit.

Fantasy Impact: If Benjamin is active, he will face a Chiefs defense allowing the second-most fantasy points to wide receivers this season. While it’s a great matchup, Benjamin has virtually no chemistry with Tyrod Taylor right now between Taylor being benched and Benjamin being injured

Buffalo acquired Benjamin last October, sending third- and seventh-round draft picks to the Carolina Panthers in exchange for Benjamin.

Benjamin, a first-round draft pick in 2014, had a big rookie season with the Panthers, when had 73 receptions for 1,008 yards and nine touchdowns.

But he hasn't been the same since tearing his ACL before the start of the 2015.

He had just 23 receptions for 354 yards and one touchdown in 12 games (10 starts) with Buffalo this season, and had just seven receptions for 92 yards in his final four games.

The Chiefs already have a high-powered offense, ranking third in the NFL in total offense and first in scoring at 37.0 points per game.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes has a league-leading 41 touchdown passes, and he has three quality targets in wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Sammy Watkins and tight end Travis Kelce.

Chiefs at Seahawks looms large for home-field advantage in the AFC.
The Chiefs and Chargers are both 11-3, tied for the best record in the AFC. The good news for the Chiefs is, they’ll win any tiebreaker between the two teams, so as long as they win out, they don’t have to worry about what the Chargers do. The good news for the Chargers is, winning out won’t be easy for the Chiefs. That’s because the next game on the Chiefs’ schedule is next Sunday night at Seattle, and the Seahawks are playing very good football right now.
