The architect of the Palais de Vladimir Putin is sought in Italy for tax fraud.

Lanfranco Cirillo, 63, would have forgotten to pay the sum of 50 million euros to the Italian taxman but the local police carried out a descent into his property in Brescia to seize goods, in particular works of art and a helicopter .

Cirillo, who was naturalized Russian by Putin, is the man who designed the gigantic palace of 18,000 m² of the Russian leader, which is located by the Black Sea.

The house and its park of 7,800 hectares are estimated at 1.2 billion euros and it is Alexei Navalny, the main opponent of Putin who is currently in prison, who has revealed the palace to the world.

For his part, the Russian president denied that this house was his property.

CIRILLO's lawyer confirmed that the police had preventively seized the property of the architect, but he said that his client had not committed any reprehensible act by law.

He also argued that Cirillo had left to live in Russia since 2014, the year he received his Russian passport, and that he did not pay taxes in Italy.
