Jonathan Ive removed from Apple's leadership page

Jonathan Ive removed from Apple's leadership page Famed designer Sir Jonathan Ive announced earlier this year he would be leaving Apple, the company where he made his name. Now, it's official -- his name and image have been removed from Apple's executive leadership page. There were reports swirling around at the time of the announcement that Ive felt Apple CEO Tim Cook wasn't interested in design and was more focused on operations. Cook heartily denied that though, calling the reports "absurd."There were reports swirling around at the time of the announcement that Ive felt Apple CEO Tim Cook wasn't interested in design and was more focused on operations. The resistance hero of the day appears to be former FBI attorney Lisa Page. This may be surprising at first, if you consider that Page rose to fame by flagrantly abandoning both her personal and professional duties.

Come to think of it, in the grand scheme of things, Page might just be the perfect icon for the Resistance as we’ve come to know it over the past three years.

‘I’m done being quiet’: Ex-FBI lawyer Lisa Page slams Trump’s ‘sickening’ attacks in first interview

‘I’m done being quiet’: Ex-FBI lawyer Lisa Page slams Trump’s ‘sickening’ attacks in first interview “I had stayed quiet for years hoping it would fade away, but instead it got worse,” Page, a former FBI lawyer, told the Daily Beast in an interview published Sunday. “It had been so hard not to defend myself, to let people who hate me control the narrative. I decided to take my power back.” Page’s interview comes just ahead of the planned Dec. 9 release of a report from the Justice Department inspector general on how the FBI conducted its investigation into Trump associates and Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Page gave an interview to a liberal Daily Beast writer that published on Monday, and most of the left-leaning major media outlets extolled her as a heroine. The headlines were uniformly glowing: “Ex-FBI lawyer targeted by Trump breaks silence.” “I decided to take my power back.” I’m done being quiet’: Ex-FBI lawyer Lisa Page slams Trump’s ‘sickening’ attacks in first interview."

President Trump’s attacks on Page have been crass, of course. And in the age of Trump, somehow becoming a victim of his attacks instantly makes one into a hero. This sad fact reveals the dishonesty inherent in the resistance and behind the impeachment inquiry.

If you just read the glowing reviews of Page in the media, you would believe her only crime had been to dislike Trump. You might forget that she was texting with other FBI employees of how to “stop” Trump from becoming president. You might forget that her texts were misdeeds not only in the eyes of the GOP or the “right-wing media,” but also in the eyes of the FBI and the Justice Department.

Trump's attack on Lisa Page reveals his misogyny (Opinion)

Trump's attack on Lisa Page reveals his misogyny (Opinion) Jill Filipovic writes that Trump and his band of sycophants have turned a once-anonymous government lawyer, Lisa Page, into a symbol of everything they hate. The President and his allies ruined her life. She's finally telling her side of the story in an article in the Daily Beast. Let's be clear: You can believe that Page made poor decisions in her personal life and is wrong in her political opinions and still conclude that the President's behavior is inexcusable harassment, far below the dignity of his office. It is in fact a national disgrace.

Yes, yes, of course Lisa Page says she’s a victim to the horrible President Trump and the exposure of “private affair”, and the exposure of her “political texts and biases” etc. etc. Ms. Page decries what she has seen happen to her beloved FBI, that as she said “she grew up in“.

Writing on Page and some of her colleagues, the FBI’s inspector general concluded: "We found that the conduct of these five FBI employees brought discredit to themselves, sowed doubt about the FBI’s handling of the Midyear investigation, and impacted the reputation of the FBI.”

The IG added: “the damage caused by their actions extends far beyond the scope of the Midyear investigation and goes to the heart of the FBI’s reputation for neutral factfinding and political independence. We were deeply troubled by text messages exchanged between Strzok and Page that potentially indicated or created the appearance that investigative decisions were impacted by bias or improper considerations.”

Page is also famous for cheating on her husband with fellow FBI employee Peter Strzok. Strzok, also married, was briefly a resistance hero himself, garnering headlines like, “The G-Man Fights Back: Peter Strzok Zaps His Republican Inquisitors.”

Resistance Hero is an Achievement that is earned by a citizen for helping to liberate a region back to its original owners, following a successful resistance war. To start a resistance war, citizen has to invest 1000 Currency. The citizen will get 5 GOLD for earning the achievement.

It seems that in an effort to battle a political opponent, whom they attack as a depraved man who smashes norms, the resistance keeps turning to men and women who are similarly models of depravity and smashing of norms.

Before his indictment, Michael Avenatti had become the big impeachment hero, back while he was exploiting his porn-star client. Liberal-turned-Tea Partier-turned-race-baiting conspiracy theorist Joe Walsh became a hero for a brief moment. So did the foul-mouthed corporate-welfare peddler Anthony Scaramucci, the moment he turned against Trump.

This history of resistance heroes undermines the claims that the objections to Trump pertain to his comportment or his disregard for norms. You can't complain about the worst side of Trump while simultaneously praising people who display all of his exact same worst traits.

Lisa Page sues DOJ, FBI over alleged privacy violations .
Former FBI lawyer Lisa Page on Tuesday filed a lawsuit against the bureau and the Justice Department, alleging privacy violations over her text messages with former FBI agent Peter Strzok. In the lawsuit, filed in the District Court for the District of Columbia, Page says the agencies unlawfully released to the press text messages between her and Strzok in December 2017 for "multiple improper reasons," including currying favor with President Trump after he publicly attacked the Department of Justice (DOJ) and then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
