President Trump ’ s approval rating has dropped to its lowest level in months, according to a poll released Tuesday. Public Policy Polling found Trump has an approval rating of 39 percent, while 54 percent of voters disapprove of his job performance .

President Trump is still questioning critics of his oldest son. A poll released Sunday shows just 36 percent of Americans approve of the president' s job performance . In 70 years of polling , that' s the lowest approval rating for any president after six months in office.

President Trump's approval rating dropped to its lowest level in months, according to a poll released Tuesday.

Public Policy Polling, a left-leaning organization, found Trump has an approval rating of 39 percent, while 54 percent of voters disapprove of his job performance. The approval number is one of Trump's lowest since taking office.

A majority of voters disapproved of Trump's handling of various issues. For example, 52 percent said they believe the president is a liar, 57 percent want to see his tax returns and 54 percent said Trump has not delivered on his promise to "Make America Great Again."

Public Policy Polling found Trump trailed nearly every hypothetical 2020 opponent, including Joe Biden, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.).

Trump also trailed Stephanie Clifford, 42-41, in a hypothetical election matchup, the poll found. However, when using Clifford's porn name, Stormy Daniels, she loses support and trails Trump 41-32, according to the poll.

The Public Policy Polling's results were released a day after a CNN poll found Trump received his highest approval rating in nearly a year. Forty-two percent of voters gave Trump positive marks in the CNN poll.

The latest poll numbers come amid a string of personnel changes in Trump's Cabinet. Gary Cohn, Trump's top economic adviser, resigned earlier this month, and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson was forced out a short time later.
