Sarah Sanders won't say if Trump believes Dems hate Jews © The Hill Sarah Sanders won't say if Trump believes Dems hate Jews White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Monday refused to say whether President Trump believes Democrats hate Jewish people, as he publicly suggested last week.

Asked multiple times whether Trump truly believes Democrats harbor hatred toward Jews, Sanders responded "I think that's a question you ought to ask the Democrats."

The top spokesperson accused Democrats of not doing enough to condemn Rep. Ilhan Omar's (D-Minn.) remarks about pro-Israel groups that were widely condemned as being anti-Semitic.

Trump said last week the controversy shows that Democrats have become the "anti-Jewish party." The president told a gathering of Republican donors last Friday that "the Democrats hate Jewish people," according to Axios.

Sanders spoke at her press briefing since Jan. 28.
