After Miami charity pulls out of strip club golf tourney, Trump Doral cancels event
After a Miami youth basketball charity said it would not accept money from a charity golf event this weekend promoted by a Hialeah strip club at President Donald Trump's Doral resort, Trump's company canceled the event Wednesday evening. The Trump Organization said it shelved Shadow Cabaret’s tournament after the Miami Allstars Foundation, the charity, dropped out, The Washington Post reported Wednesday evening. “The event was originally booked with the understanding that it would be raising money to support a local charity benefiting underprivileged children,” a Trump Organization spokeswoman said in a statement to the Post.

A White House meeting on Tuesday between President Trump and Republican congressional leaders was abruptly cancelled.
Sens. John Thune (R-S.D.) and John Cornyn (R-Texas) said the 4 p.m. meeting had been called off but they were not sure why. The White House has yet to comment on the cancellation.
A White House official said earlier Tuesday that Trump and GOP lawmakers planned to discuss "immigration priorities."
The conversation was expected to center on a sweeping proposal drafted by White House adviser Jared Kushner on closing so-called "loopholes" in asylum laws and overhauling the legal immigration system.
The meeting was scheduled hours before the House was set to vote on a resolution condemning Trump's remarks targeting a group of minority congresswomen.
