A judge refused Thursday to block the publication of a book written by a niece of Donald Trump and who shines, according to his editor, "a harsh light on the dark history" of the family of the American president.
The president's brother Robert S. Trump accused Mary Trump of violating a confidentiality agreement linked to the legacy of Fred Trump, the father of Donald Trump.
He had seized a specialized court in New York to prevent the publication of the work, but the latter declared himself incompetent to resolve the dispute.
"Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World's Most Dangerous Man" should therefore be able to be released as planned on 28 July, just over three months from the presidential election.

"BIG COURT WIN against Bolton. Obviously, with the book already given out and leaked to many people and the media, nothing the highly respected Judge could have done about stopping it...BUT, strong & powerful statements & rulings on MONEY & on BREAKING CLASSIFICATION were made," Trump tweeted.
Critical works on Donald Trump, who is seeking a second term, have multiplied, but this is the first time that a member of his family has engaged in exercise.
Mary Trump, 55, is the daughter of Fred Trump Jr, the older brother of the Republican billionaire, who died in 1981 at the age of 42 from alcoholism.
In this 240-page book, she recounts events she witnessed in her grandparents' house in New York, where the five children of Fred and Mary Anne Trump grew up.
"She describes a nightmare of trauma, destructive relationships, and a tragic mixture of neglect and abuse," says her Simon & Schuster publishing house.
Mrs. Trump, specialist in clinical psychology, affirms that the president "rejected and ridiculed" his father, of whom he was however the favorite son, when he started suffering from Alzheimer's disease.

Simon & Schuster Inc. got a green light -- for now -- to publish a tell-all memoir by President Donald Trump’s niece after a New York appeals court lifted a temporary ruling that would have blocked the book’s release. © Bloomberg U.S. President Donald Trump reacts during a news conference at the White House in Washington D.C., U.S. on Tuesday, April 21, 2020.
