iPhone 12 and 12 Pro review: Simply extraordinary

iPhone 12 and 12 Pro review: Simply extraordinary 5G support, a new striking design, improved cameras and four different models all add up to make the iPhone 12 an absolute unit. There is one big difference with the iPhone 12 generation, though. It's the first time there are four new iPhones at once: the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. If you want to go small and reap the benefits of a lower price there's the Mini. If you want the biggest iPhone with the newest in iPhone cameras, get the Pro Max. But that leaves the 12 and 12 Pro which are similar (like basically-the-same-phone similar). That's not necessarily a bad thing.

Noah was highlighting reports that Black men are almost twice as likely to support the president as Black women, though this still gives Trump only about 11 percent of the vote among Black men, as an MSNBC report shared by The Daily Show stated.

Prior to the pandemic, every test President Trump faced has been a fiasco of his own making, says Trevor Noah , host of "The Daily Social Distancing Show" on

The comedian questioned why Black men would opt for Trump, even in relatively small numbers, but he wasn't surprised that the president enjoyed less support among Black women.

"There's been a lot of focus on the Black vote this year," Noah said. "And there's one specific demographic within the Black vote that's gotten a lot of extra attention."

Noah then cut to footage of reports about the Black vote and how more Black men than women are considering supporting Trump. The numbers cited also indicated Trump's support has risen among Black men.

"That's right," Noah said. "No-one is surprised that Trump has fewer black women than every season of The Bachelor combined.

"But some people are surprised that he is doing better with Black men—which is strange. It's like hearing that the Titanic iceberg has some support among survivors."

The Titanic famously sank on its maiden voyage in 1912 despite being described as "unsinkable." It cost the lives of some 1500 people, while 750 people survived.

Why it matters

Trump has repeatedly courted the Black vote and pointed to unemployment numbers and criminal justice reforms as some of the reasons why he should win Black voters' support.

However, Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser caused considerable controversy this week with remarks about Black people and success. Jared Kushner told Fox News on Monday that the president's policies were benefitting the Black community.

"One thing we've seen in a lot of the Black community, which is mostly Democrat, is that President Trump's policies are the policies that can help people break out of the problems that they're complaining about," Kushner said.

"But he can't want them to be successful more than they want to be successful."

Context

Trump won eight percent of the Black vote in 2016 and polling suggests that former Vice President Joe Biden will win a majority of Black votes this year. This could be crucial to winning in states like Wisconsin. A victory there helped Trump secure the White House four years ago.

Noah has frequently criticized and joked about Trump and he interviewed Democratic vice presidential candidate Senator Kamala Harris on Thursday night.
