"To be the last to get voting rights, to be those who just waited and waited for our turn. It's been a long time coming," Brazile said. "I thought about my mom and grandmother this morning. They didn't have the right to vote, but I did.
"I spent all my life believing that the right to vote was the key to our future," she continued. "And because of the American people, the faith, those who did not see color [or] gender, those who believed it was about confidence and just giving everyone a seat at the table."
Brazile then said that she was a "grateful American" and "grateful woman," adding that voters made the United States "a country for all of us."
Biden was projected to win the presidency a little after 11:30 am on Saturday after being projected to win the key battleground state of Pennsylvania.
