Thunberg, who shot to international prominence after skipping school to protest the effects of climate change, welcomed the news after Biden submitted a letter of intent to the United Nations on Wednesday for the U.S. to reenter the global pact to combat climate change that the Trump administration rejected. She also took a dig at the Texas Republican with her missive.

“So happy that USA has finally rejoined the Pittsburgh Agreement. Welcome back!” the 18-year-old activist tweeted to her 4.6 million followers.
