Fox News has hired former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo as a contributor, the network announced Thursday.
Fox News’s hiring of Pompeo, already a frequent guest on the network, installs another top Trump administration official and staunch defender of the former president as a fixture on the network, which has also brought on former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany. Fox News announced last week that McEnanywhich airs weekdays at noon.
Pompeo will offer analysis on Fox News and Fox Business network both during the day and during primetime hours, Fox News Media said in a release. He’ll make his debut as a contributor Friday on Fox & Friends, the network’s signature morning show.
Pirates DFA reliever Tyler Bashlor to make space for infielder Wilmer Difo
The Pirates are designating reliever Tyler Bashlor for assignment. The move opens 40-man roster space for infielder Wilmer Difo.Bashlor, 27, has pitched 62.1 MLB innings with the Mets and Pirates over the past three seasons. He has only a 5.78 ERA with poor strikeout and walk rates (18.5% and 12%, respectively) in that time. Bashlor has been much better in the minors, with a 1.63 ERA in 38.2 Double-A innings and a 3.41 mark in 37 frames at Triple-A.

Pompeo, who served as former President Donald Trump’s secretary of state from 2018 until Trump left office earlier this year, hasif Trump opts not to run. The former secretary of state , beginning networking in a key early nominating state.
In a fieryin February, Pompeo drew some of the biggest applause at the conference in lauding the Trump administration's "America First" agenda.
“I intend to give viewers a candid, no-nonsense look at geopolitics, international relations and the America First policies that helped chart the course for unprecedented American prosperity and security,” Pompeo said in the Fox News release.

The former secretary of State was one of several Republican White House hopefuls to speak at CPAC last week.Appearing Wednesday night on Fox News, the former Trump administration official was asked by host Sean Hannity whether he would “consider getting in that race” should the former president take a pass on a 2024 campaign.
