  Two sheriff's deputies fatally shot man during arrest attempt, prompting new wave of unrest in Minneapolis The man, ID'd by family and friends as Winston Boogie Smith, was wanted on a state warrant for illegal possession of a firearm, U.S. Marshals say.While authorities did not immediately release the man's name, family and friends identified him as Winston Boogie Smith, a 32-year-old father of three.

Bloomberg has named Jodi Schneider political news director for Bloomberg TV and Radio.

Schneider, who announced the promotion on LinkedIn, starts in the new role June 21. "I also will work across our newsrooms in the U.S. - especially in D.C. and NYC - to unify political coverage across all our teams," she said in the post.

Bloomberg also hired Joe Mathieu as a Washington correspondent, Politico reported. Formerly the local Boston host of NPR's Morning Edition, Mathieu is also now hosting Bloomberg's political podcast "Sound On."

His résumé includes a stint as the founding program director of the POTUS political news and talk channel on SiriusXM Satellite Radio, and he has also been a political analyst on CNN, MSNBC and Fox News.

According to Politico, Bloomberg has also named Annmarie Hordern as a Washington correspondent. Hordern previously was co-anchor of Bloomberg TV's Daybreak Europe, according to her profile on LinkedIn.
