At one point, Chris Cuomo expressed satisfaction that investigative reporter Ronan Farrow’s research into his brother hadn’t yet turned up anything damning. He also assured her that another story about the governor was at that point “not ready” for publication.

He previously worked for ABC News and Fox News and had appeared on CNBC and MSNBC. He told viewers in March that he would be unable to report on his brother’s sexual misconduct allegations due to his conflict of interest. He had, however, previously interviewed the governor over New York’s pandemic response.

The younger Cuomo was himself accused of sexual harassment by a former boss at ABC, who penned a September op-ed for the New York Times recalling a 2005 incident in which he grabbed her buttocks in a Manhattan bar. He said in an email he was “ashamed” of his “hearty greeting” and apologized to the victim and her husband.
