Huawei is making a phone even bigger than the iPhone X Plus or Galaxy Note 9

Huawei is making a phone even bigger than the iPhone X Plus or Galaxy Note 9 Buyers looking for big-screen phones will have quite a few devices to choose from in the second half of the year. In a couple of months, the Galaxy Note 9 will hit stores, with an “Infinity Display” around 6.3-inches big, about as big as the Galaxy Note 8’s screen. A month later, the iPhone X Plus will bring iPhone users a huge 6.5-inch screen, the biggest display ever seen on an iPhone.

But it’s Huawei that’s supposedly working on a device with an even bigger screen than the iPhone X Plus.Samsung is supposedly manufacturing 6.

Does Your Smartphone Battery Die Way Too Fast?

Consumer Reports has no financial relationship with advertisers on this site. Q. My smartphone battery dies quickly. What can I do to make it last longer? A. There are a few strategies you can use to conserve a smartphone's battery power, says Rich Fisco, CR's head of smartphone testing. To start, go to your phone's Settings > Battery menu to see whether you have a "low power mode" or "battery saver" that can be activated. What these do—and you can do à la carte if your phone doesn't have that catchall setting—is lower the screen's brightness. Also disable notifications from apps, such as Facebook and Spotify, and, if you use an animated wallpaper on your home screen, switch to a static one, such as a photo. For Android phone owners, Fisco also recommends checking your widgets, which are Android phone features that give you real-time looks at what your various apps are doing. "If they're live and constantly updating," he says, "disable or delete them." If none of this helps appreciably, check your smartphone battery's capacity. Recent updates to iOS let you monitor your iPhone's "battery health" in Settings. You can do the same thing with Android phones by downloading an app; Fisco uses one called AccuBattery that shows what percentage of original capacity your smartphone battery is currently operating at.

The Palm Pepito appears to be unusually small, especially with smartphones today touting displays that are larger than 6 inches. The Palm smartphone is so small that its screen is actually smaller than the display on the Pre 3, the last Palm phone released when the brand was still owned by HP, as pointed out by The Verge. The HP Pre 3 was equipped with a 3.55-inch display.

The Palm Pepito smartphone is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor and comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. There’s no information yet if the device will have other storage and RAM configurations, but that seems likely. However, it’s also possible that some configurations of the Palm smartphone may only be available depending on region and carrier. The popular rumor right now is that the device will be sold through Verizon in the United States.

Brand new details leak about Samsung’s most innovative phone since the first Note

Brand new details leak about Samsung’s most innovative phone since the first Note Some call it the Galaxy X, others call it the Galaxy F, and most people think it’s going to be the coolest smartphone Samsung ever pulled off. We're talking, of course, about the first Samsung foldable phone in the world, which might just be the world’s first real foldable phone if Huawei can’t beat Samsung to market. For a few years now, we’ve heard a lot of details about the phone’s specs and features, and, as we get closer to 2019, we get even more reports about the handset. The latest story offers us a few details that were not reported before.

Going back to the design of the phone, the Palm Pepito appears to have a single camera on its back and another single camera up front. Unfortunately, there is no information about the camera sensors that the device is equipped with yet. The back of the phone also features the Palm logo, while the right side of the deice seems to house the power button.

There’s no word yet on what materials are being used to build this phone, but based on the render, it seems like TCL is going for a metal and glass combo for the Palm Pepito. The phone will also be available in titanium and gold color options in the U.S. On the software side of things, the Palm Pepito is said to be running Android 8.1 Oreo.

The Palm Android smartphone is a low-end device with a small screen and a small battery, but it could still be hiding a few surprises that might convince people to get it. At the very least, the device should arrive with a cheap price that can make it a great back-up phone.
