Google Calendar is back after global outage

Google Calendar is back after global outage Some users got 404 messages instead of meeting and event information. Problems started to crop up early in the morning, and Google tweeted that it was "experiencing a service disruption." Google didn't immediately have a comment on what caused the problem. A message, posted to the G Suite Status Dashboard at 7:22 a.m. PT, said the company was investigating reports of issues with Google Calendar and that affected users were unable to access the service. Google said that "system reliability is a top priority." Users reported trouble opening Google Calendar on desktop as well as mobile devices.

You can now track your sleep patterns alongside all the other activities you do throughout the day. Connect your favorite sleep app to Google Fit and you’ll see charts that show you your sleep patterns over time. You’ll also be able to add, edit or access your sleep history through the journal.

Google today announced that Google Fit is getting better at tracking your sleep . We've seen a lot of Google apps get dark themes lately, and so it's great that Google Fit officially has one now , too, and the improved sleep pattern tracking is a nice addition that could help you get better sleep .

Google Fit should now be that much more helpful when you're ramping down for the night. The fitness app now tracks sleep patterns from apps that share their data, giving you better sense of whether or not you need more shut-eye.

You can add to and edit your sleep history if companion apps aren't providing a complete picture of your downtime. Accordingly, there's a new dark theme (in keeping with Google's recent trends) that should be kinder to your eyes at night.

There is an improvement that can help your daytime activities. Fit users on iOS now get route maps for their walks and bike rides, much like their Android counterparts do. This includes workouts tracked through smartwatches and linked mobile apps.

The updates are rolling out over the course of the next week. They're simple additions, but they should help Google Fit provide a more holistic view of your fitness that extends well beyond your gym sessions and morning runs.

Dark theme is coming to Google Fit next week.
