TechnologyThe Morning After: The Apple Card is incompatible with leather
You cannot pay your Apple Card bill online if you lose your iPhone
Apple's new credit card has been making headlines for its slick design, its unique features, and the mere fact that it's a credit card from Apple for the past few weeks. But despite being hyped up by the company as the ultimate payment solution, it lacks basic functionality that anyone who has ever owned a credit card would expect it to have. As BuzzFeed News explains, the Apple Card exists, at least in part, to keep you locked into the iOS ecosystem. The only way to access your balance, your transaction history, and even your ability to pay your bills is through the Wallet app on your iPhone.
Hey, good morning! You look fabulous.
Ready to take a ride in a flying taxi? Cool, just try to find a place to put your Apple Card where it isn't touching anything, and then we can all fly back to 1995 and play Panzer Dragoon.
Just don't put it in your wallet, purse or jeans.
Now Apple's credit card is available to all users in the US, we have some information on how to care for the metal payment accessory. First step: Don't use it like other cards. Seriously. According to Apple, storing it against leather or denim can cause permanent discoloration, and despite plastic linings in many wallets, it's a little concerning. Oh, and one more thing -- don't let it rub against other cards or sit anywhere loose against coins, keys or other abrasive objects.
Apple Card launch expands to all US iPhone users
Apple has announced its Apple Card is available to everyone in the US starting today, expanding on the limited launch earlier this month. If you didn't see the many signup tutorial videos provided by Apple, you can apply by opening the Wallet app on your iPhone to start. The full rollout comes alongside an extra benefit for those happy to bank with the tech company: a three percent "Daily Cash" return offer that works with both Uber and Uber Eats.
If you've been disappointed by recent entries in EA's street racing series, Ghost Games is hoping a more straightforward approach will pull you into the world of Need for Speed Heat. A day/night cycle means you can worry less about escaping from the police until after the sun goes down, and any vehicle can be tuned for drifting or speed. The game's Palm City setting has a heavy Miami influence with plenty of neon to go around, and its story mode will still give your character a voice, without some of the overly chatty aspects of the last NFS entry, Payback.

The goal of these spam accounts, all of which are pretending to be women, seems to be the same as their Instagram counterparts: to get you to visit a sketchy porn site that will ask for your personal information, including email address, age, location and, if you get far enough, credit card number.
Apple’s Goldman Card Launches in U.S. With Uber Cash-Back Offer
Apple Inc. on Tuesday made its credit card with Goldman Sachs available to all U.S. customers. People with iPhones running the latest software can apply for the Apple Card via the Wallet app, Apple said in a statement. The Cupertino, California-based technology giant also announced a deal with Uber Technologies Inc. that will give customers 3% cash back on Uber and UberEats purchases. Apple, which previously said only people shopping at Apple stores or buying its services would get 3% cash back, said other merchants and apps will eventually offer the deal.
Port over 'Burning Rangers' next, you cowards.
Despite all the new titles on display, Nick Summers explains why he was delighted by this "wonderful conversion."
Designed to serve as an on-demand, inner-city vehicle, it can carry two passengers and their hand luggage. It's capable of an estimated range of 35 km (roughly 22 miles) and an airspeed of 110 km/h (about 68 mph). This is the fourth-generation eVTOL, or electric take-off and landing aircraft, by the German company, and like models we've seen in the past, the VoloCity has 18 rotors, redundancy in all critical systems and a promise of low noise.
Now with WiFi 6 and Thunderbolt 3.
Apple warns against storing its titanium credit card in leather
The titanium Apple Card looks slick (with the sound to match), but you may need to treat it gingerly if you expect it to look as pristine as the day you got it. Apple has posted a cleaning guide for the physical credit card that warns against storing it against leather and denim, lest they cause discoloration that "will not wash off." Yes, that's right -- you could end up with a nasty-looking card simply by putting it in your usual wallet or pants pocket. Many leather wallets have linings, and plastic cards have their own issues, but this suggests it's more delicate than some would like.
The big selling point with Intel's first 10th-gen Core processors is the company's more efficient new 10nm architecture. But the next batch of 10th-gen chips, codenamed Comet Lake, won't be taking advantage of that or new Iris Plus graphics tech. Instead, they're more powerful 14nm chips with up to six cores meant for heavier workloads in thin, light machines like Dell's XPS 13.

In the latest example of the need for further human moderation, YouTube's automated system took down several videos after mistaking robot fighting matches as animal cruelty.
But wait, there's more...
