Spotify's latest Android update has riled some of its loyal users. The update removes the homescreen widget from Spotify's Android app. Now, to control functions like play, pause and skip, users must drag down the notification shade. While this may seem like a minor change to some, widgets are a prized Android feature, and nearly 2,000 users have petitioned the widget removal. It's unclear exactly why Spotify removed the widget, but the company seems to have felt its functions were redundant. In a statement, Spotify said, "We always take retiring features in Spotify very seriously. We're pouring our energy into new ways of creating the best experience for our users.

Sony has announced version 7.00 of the PlayStation 4’s system software, which centers around updates to Remote Play and party functionality. The update will be available this week.

Sony added iOS compatibility earlier this year, so the expansion of Android support always seemed likely.
Meanwhile, the party chat feature has doubled the number of users from eight to 16 and should have better connectivity and audio quality, Sony says. There’s also a new voice-to-text feature that transcribes text and displays it on the PS4 Second Screen mobile app, though it’ll only be available in the US for now. Sony didn’t say whether the feature will come to other regions.
Microsoft Releases Windows 10 Remote Desktop App for PC and Mobile
After completing the Preview phase, the new edition replaces the 8.1 versions. Users can remotely access a Windows computer and its resources - provided the required licenses. However, not all functions of the previous version are integrated yet.
